Has it really been a year since the Brighter Choices’ team started house cleaning in the Hills District?

We can hardly believe it ourselves.

And we’re super proud to be turning one.

After all, it’s estimated that one in three small businesses fail in their first year. So, the fact that Brighter Choices has not only survived but also thrived for 12 challenging months is exhilarating.  

How have we survived a year that’s brought a pandemic, devastating floods, and financial stress?

It’s all due to the Brighter Choices’ difference.

What’s the Brighter Choices’ difference?

It’s not complicated.

We care deeply about providing premium cleaning services to all our clients.

Our ultimate goal is to make life simpler for our clients.

She didn’t launch her business overnight. She took time to think about how she could build a business model that would lead to ecstatic clients. She refused to open before every detail had been identified and planned for.

From the business’ very inception, Emily Brewer put systems in place to ensure that her clients would be delighted by Brighter Choice’s services.

  • Technology was harnessed to make booking a quote or a clean incredibly easy.
  • Recruitment processes were put in place to ensure that the people who worked for Brighter Choices shared the business’ values.
  • It was decided that all staff would be trained to ensure they’re brilliant at their jobs. We now refer to them as “the dream team”.
  • We also decided that every team member would be insured, police checked, working with children checked and trained. We want to earn your trust.
  • Cleaning procedures were developed to make sure homes are not only clean but hygienically clean.
    • We never use a dirty mop. Because yuck. Every mop is cleaned and sanitised before it’s used again.
    • All our equipment is maintained and kept exceptionally clean so that no dirt, grime, or other nasties are introduced to your home.
    • We use different cloths for different areas. Bathrooms and kitchens will never be cleaned using the same cloths. Because gross.
    • We don’t dust around things. Many cleaning companies fail when it comes down to fine details like this. But we don’t.
  • We decided we wouldn’t penalise you if you needed to rebook. We get it. Sometimes stuff just happens. We don’t think you should have to pay for that.
  • We wanted to surprise and delight our clients. You’ll be charmed by our extra touches, from Easter eggs in April to COVID get well cards for those who are doing it tough.
  • A range of innovative services was developed to meet the various needs of our clients.
  • Flexibility was identified as one of our fundamental values. We’re adaptable when it comes to:
    • cleaning times
    • how regularly your home is cleaned
    • the products you want your home cleaned with
    • the cleaning services you want us to carry out
  • Giving back to the community was adopted as one of our guiding principles. So, we raise funds for and contribute to various charities regularly.

It’s our party (you really need to read this bit!)

Behind the scenes, we’re jumping with joy. Chants of hip-hip-hooray have been echoing through our office. There are lots of pats on the back. There may even be a bit of singing and dancing. Oh, and cake. We’re definitely having cake.

But we recognise that we wouldn’t be anywhere without the support of our lovely clients. And that’s not just a throwaway line.

We said you could celebrate with us at the beginning of this blog post, and we meant it.

How, you ask?

Well, you could ring us and sing Happy Birthday. We’re not opposed to being serenaded.

But seriously, we’re giving out presents.

We’re giving four of our existing clients a free Freshen-Up clean.

Sure, we could run a competition to attract more clients. But we’re serious about delighting and rewarding our existing clients. So, these four free Freshen Up services will only be for four of our existing clients. It’s our way of saying thank you.
